Charitable Knitting & Crochet
FLOCK is working on donations for Essentia Urgent Care. They need items for kids up to 5T who come in sick and need a change of clothes or are not properly dressed for the weather.
They currently need sleepers and sweats, and will also take other clothes, hats and mittens.
We are also a drop-off site for Circle of Hope, who collects Prayer Shawls for breast cancer patients in the community.

Join us at the store as we celebrate World Wid Knit in Public Day. If you've never knit in public (KIP) now's your chance. Don't keep your knitting ( or crocheting, for that matter) in the closet. Be proud of your creations, and celebrate the fiber arts with like-minded individuals. We will host a special event, TBA soon. Watch our website and our Facebook page for more details. KNIT LIKE A PIRATE

Aaaaargh! Avast! And, ahoy, me hearties! Ye be welcome t’ come in and knit with us, here at Yarn Harbor during Pirate Days. Landlubbers and old salties alike be welcome when the Tall Ships blow into town. We’ll feature daily Pirate specials to shiver ye timbers. And our very own Johnny the Pirate will also be on display. So, batten down the hatches, and bring plenty o’ dubloons, or we might make ye walk the plank!
KNITTING AT THE BEACH
Tuesdays this summer, 6:00 p.m. until sundown.
Starting in July, we meet at Kitchi Gammi Park (Brighton Beach). Park at the end of the road in the gravel parking area, and walk down the trail that goes through the woods. You will come to the yarn in the tree to your right, about one city block down, and you will find us on the large rock deck that Lake Superior has provided for our use. This will be our third year at the beach - definitely one of my favorite things.

YARN TASTING EVENT
Friday, September 27th, 7 - 9 pm
I’m so excited to announce a yarn tasting event here in the shop! I will be serving samples of various yarns for you to try out. There will be swatches knit up, as well as pattern suggestions. Each guest will receive mini skeins of yarn to enjoy. Refreshments will be served. Come in to the shop, and reserve your spot for just $20. I have space for 12 guests, so check your calendars today.
