Summer 2010
Spring came early and fast this yeat so now in June we truly are into Summer Knitting! Come see the new yarns at Yarn Harbor for all your needs and desires!
From Nashua we have a new cotton linen blend in rich, vibrant colors, which would be perfect for those lacy summer cardigans and T-shirts.
From Knit One Crochet Too, we have recycled cotton in new colors added just for us this season. Once you discover these recycled fibers you'll want to use them again and again.
Misty Alpaca's cotton silk blend proves to be a winner, as always. Last year, with its popularity, it was hard to keep in stock. However, our supplier has assured us that they are ready for high demand this season. If you haven't yet tried one, it's a must. If you think the skein feels soft, it gets even better as you work it up.
We have a new washable worsted wieght from Crystal Palace. Cotton Twirl is 90% cotton and 10% elastic nylon. The elastic content helps it to hold its shape during wear. Great for those quick knit kids' projects.
Kudo from Plymouth is new for us this year -- a cotton rayon silk blend with soft and bold self-striping in luscious colors. Also from Plymouth is a new yarn called Grass. It's a cotton hemp blend with a soft tweedy look. I knit a summer cardigan with this during the winter Olympics and it was a real pleasure.
Happy Knitting,
Kathy
